Believe it or not, setting goals is often the easiest part of New Year’s Resolutions. It’s the “sticking to it” that separates the doers from the want-a-be’s.
It can help to make ourselves accountable to someone else. So – team up!
Who you ask needs careful attention. When you are considering that trusting companion, you do NOT want: A cynic; A critic; A nag; A nit picker; A naysayer; A faultfinder; or A nonbeliever (in you). Hope this doesn’t wipe out all of your cronies. If it does, get knew cronies!!
Peak Performers choose the company they keep. They select buddies that give them reality checks – those who tell them what they don’t want to hear and stay with them through the modifications. Peak Performers strive for balance in their lives and they want someone who walks their talk. Expectations matter!! Yours and your partners! YOU need to watch the way you talk to yourself and the way your partner talks to you.
